The ResponsiBid API lets your other systems work directly with your ResponsiBid data. Your own software, or a vendor you hire, can build quotes, book visits, and keep records in step with ResponsiBid.
What you can do
- Keep your records in sync. Read and update contacts, properties, bids, jobs, invoices, and follow-ups from another system.
- Build and send quotes. Build and price a full quote with services, factors, bundles, discounts, and tax. Then turn it into a sent proposal.
- Book visits. Request open appointment slots and book a visit once a proposal is signed.
- Get notified about changes. Subscribe to webhooks. Your system is told when a contact, bid, or job changes, so it doesn’t have to keep checking.
- Record payments. Record a payment against an invoice.
- Connect third-party apps. Apps can connect through OAuth. You approve what each app can access, and you can revoke that access at any time.
Who can use it
Only a company Admin can create or revoke API tokens. A company Admin also approves OAuth connections from third-party apps.
Get started
Connect with an API token
- Sign in to ResponsiBid as a company Admin.
- Go to Settings > Company Settings > API Tokens.
- Create a new API token.
- Set up your system, or have your vendor set it up, using the token and the endpoints in the ResponsiBid API developer reference.
Connect a third-party app
Third-party apps connect through OAuth. A company Admin approves the connection and the access (scopes) the app asks for. You can revoke the connection at any time.
Good to know
- The API can record a payment against an invoice, but it cannot charge a card. Card processing stays separate from the API.
- You still create new services and sub-services in the ResponsiBid app. The API cannot create them.
- Scopes do not yet limit access to tax profiles.
